A top down approach to investing may be used to identify macro economic trends that offer better reward to risk trades. Quantitative analysis may be used for identifying better timing for entry and exit for trades that generally follow the macroeconomic direction of the markets traded. The fund may invest long or short in any given market and generally trades for short periods of time in one direction only.
